Prototyping
There's no doubt: the largest investment in a new injection-molded product is mold tooling. That means prototyping is the most important step in the process - one that can determine the profitability of the project.
E&D Engineering's experience in design, engineering and machining helps streamline the prototyping process - shortening your time to market, minimizing loss and creating greater efficiency.
Our state-of-the-art machining centers can create prototype molds in aluminum, steel, wood or high-density polyurethane board (RenShape®) for short-run testing. We'll work with you to make necessary adjustments, and can then use the same CAD models to develop final steel molds.
We've developed prototypes for such diverse products as:
- seals and gaskets
- o-rings
- vehicle bumpers
- toys
- game pieces
- packaging
